Travelling to Great Dunmow is easiest via the M11, taking J8 signposted A120 and Stansted Airport. Follow the A120 to Great Dunmow, leaving the A120 at the first Dunmow exit and follow the signs into the town centre. Turn left onto the B184, sign posted Thaxted and Saffron Walden. The Moat House is approximately 3 miles north of Great Dunmow on the B184, just outside the village of Great Easton. As you approach Great Easton you will see the village sign, the drive to the house is immediately after the 40mph limit signs on the rhs. Slow right down as the entrance is obscured and easily missed. Travelling south down the B184 from Saffron Walden the drive is obviously on your left, just as you are about to leave the 40mph limit.
